Distinctive Unit Insignia


Description
A Gold color metal and enamel device blazoned as follows:  Tierced in pairle Argent, Azure and Gules, a scroll unfurled Buff surmounted by two mullets palewise Or, above a terrestrial sphere of the last, all within a diminutive bordure Sable.  Attached below a Gold scroll inscribed SUSCIPIO VIS in Black.  The overall dimension is 1 3/16 inches (3.02 cm) in height.

Symbolism
The heater shield, a shield closely identified with the Cavalry branch, illustrates the Brigades contracting relationship with III Corps and the Fort Hood, Texas military community in the past and the future.  Red, white and blue are the colors adapted from Army Material Command, the parent command of the Brigade.  The scroll alludes to the acquisition process and contracting support provided by the unit.  The two stars signify its responsibility of contract support for two operations simultaneously Combat Support and Operational Testing.  The terrestrial globe conveys the Brigades continuous contracting contingency in support of the Warfighter.  Black suggests dependability.  The images within the border emphasize the expansion of the units contracting undertaking.  The motto translates to Support The Force.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 27 June 2013.  It was amended to correct the description on 27 September 2013.
